This past Sunday evening, EMB Music Group returned to the Park Theatre for EMB 15th Anniversary Presents: R.O.Z & Friends, a milestone event marking 15 years of EMB in the music industry. In the weeks leading up to the show, the city had been buzzing, conversations building, flyers circulating, social feeds counting down, CTV and radio interviews circulating and the anticipation was undeniable. The night carried special meaning, not only for the city—often overlooked when it comes to major Hip Hop shows and showcases—but also for R.O.Z himself. Taking place in Winnipeg, the city where EMB began, and on the same stage where he performed his first headliner show in 2011 (Heart of the City).

The show was hosted by local comedian Emmanuel Lomuro, who kept the energy moving smoothly between sets. The lineup reflected both history and momentum, featuring performances from Winnipeg Hip Hop staples YK The Mayor, Chris Bxnnxtt and MYAZWE, alongside emerging artists YSN FAB, and Max Winds and Aliou. EMB also brought out label artists Qway C and Mason Groovy, as well as an additional special guest Meika from Toronto. DJs DMIXX and Shemar kept the music rolling throughout the evening.

Before R.O.Z took the stage, a short opening video played, highlighting the growth of EMB and his career over the past 15 years. Fans gathered on the floor with phones up and capturing a moment that reflected how closely the journey has been shared with the community. R.O.Z’s entrance set the tone immediately, with smoke cannons blasting as he hit the stage. His set featured high-level production, including strong lighting design, custom digital backdrops for each segment, multiple outfit changes, and the live unveiling of a new EMB “Underground Kings” logo. One of the most powerful moments came during an emotional tribute to his late sister, when the venue lit up with phone lights in a shared moment of reflection.

He closed the night with his Winnipeg classics “Rhythm of the Night” and “Rollin’,” bringing the celebration full circle. Fans also supported exclusive Far From Ordinary and EMB 15th Anniversary FFO x EMB merch collaboration, many staying after the show for photographs, signings and conversations with the artists.

Overall, the 15th Anniversary show was a strong and impactful reflection of the work, collaboration, and commitment behind EMB’s 15-year journey and already has the city bubbling. The event highlighted the depth of Winnipeg’s Hip Hop culture honouring its roots while continuing to create space for the next generation, showing just how much the city and EMB continue to mean to one another.
