One week before the release of his fifth full-length album The Emblem, R.O.Z took the project across Canada with a three-city listening party tour, making stops in Toronto, Calgary and Winnipeg. R.O.Z is now being hailed as the first Canadian rapper to do a multi-city album listening party tour, giving nearly 200 supporters in three different markets the opportunity to experience the album before its official release on July 24, 2026. The tour created an intimate setting for fans, friends, creatives, industry professionals and longtime supporters to hear the project together and celebrate the next chapter of R.O.Z’s career. Rather than holding a single hometown listening party, R.O.Z and EMB took the album on the road, building anticipation for The Emblem across the country.

The tour began in Toronto, R.O.Z’s hometown, where he was surrounded by industry representatives, friends, people he grew up with and hometown supporters who have followed his journey over the years. From there, the experience continued west to Calgary before making its way to Winnipeg for the final stop. Each city brought its own connection to R.O.Z and the story behind the album, but Winnipeg carried a particularly significant meaning. Although Toronto is home, Winnipeg is where R.O.Z began taking rap seriously and where EMB was founded in 2010. After 15 years of building EMB from Winnipeg, returning to the city with The Emblem created a true full-circle moment, with many of the original EMB fans, supporters and members who have been part of the journey from the beginning in attendance.

The Winnipeg event was hosted by Jeremy Hecht of UPROXX, who flew in from Los Angeles specifically for the occasion. Hecht has gone on to establish his own strong lane in music media through his work with UPROXX, including hosting Sound Check With Jeremy Hecht, but his connection to R.O.Z goes back to his childhood in Winnipeg. In a follow-up reel shared after the event, Hecht recalled driving home through the snow in his silver Ford Focus in 2011 when Streetz 104.7 began playing “Rhythm of the Night,” one of R.O.Z’s Winnipeg classics from the 2010s. Years later, after building his own career and moving into the Los Angeles music and media scene, Hecht returned to Winnipeg, flying in from L.A. specifically for the event. Having someone who grew up hearing R.O.Z on Winnipeg radio now return from Los Angeles for The Emblem added another powerful full-circle element to an already significant night.

During the Winnipeg event, R.O.Z also sat down for an interview with Don’t Cry Wolf Media, hosted by Kayla with a K, where he spoke about his relationship with the city and described Winnipeg as feeling like a second home. When asked about some of the biggest moments and accomplishments of his career, including performing on major stages, he reflected on how special it felt to perform at Winnipeg’s MTS Centre back in the day (opening for Nas), and then return to perform (a halftime show) at the same venue more recently, now known as Canada Life Centre. He also pointed to performing at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto as another particularly special performance moment. Those milestones speak to the journey R.O.Z has had since first taking music seriously in Winnipeg, and having those experiences become part of his story made the final stop of The Emblem tour even more meaningful.

The Emblem is now available on all major streaming platforms. The project’s leading singles include “Brown 100’s” featuring Big Lean and “B.I.T.C” featuring 2Epik, while also bringing back recent R.O.Z classics like “Electric” and “Nothing New.” The album also highlights the lyricism R.O.Z has become known for, particularly on “Highlife Freestyle,” which he performed on Hot Freestyle, a major platform for hip-hop and freestyle culture. The project also shows R.O.Z’s ability to move between the classic hip-hop sound that built his name and the Afrobeats and Afro-influenced sound that has become a major part of his newer era. While The Emblem carries elements of that evolution, there is plenty of raw rap throughout the project, reminding listeners why R.O.Z has earned his reputation as one of Canada’s sharpest lyricists. From the early Winnipeg records that helped build his name to the stages, collaborations and music that continue to define his career, The Emblem brings together 15 years of the R.O.Z and EMB's journey together in one project.
